What is Bless The Mess?
As our church building project progresses, many have asked about our "Bless the Mess" campaign. Let's dive into what this initiative is all about and how it fits into our broader building project vision.
Understanding Bless the Mess
The Bless the Mess campaign was created to address unexpected challenges we've encountered during our building project. When construction began, our crews discovered something surprising: large pieces of concrete debris that had been buried on our property for over 50 years. Additionally, city regulations required us to upgrade our building plans from a 4-inch to a 6-inch concrete slab foundation. These unforeseen circumstances have created additional costs that weren't part of our original building budget.
Our Christmas for Christ Vision
We've turned this challenge into an opportunity to give a special gift to Jesus this Christmas. Our Bless the Mess campaign aims to raise $150,000 by December 25th to cover these unexpected costs. We're working toward this goal in three stages:
Through your generous support, we've already raised $74,972.34 – a testament to our church family's commitment to this vision!
- $50,000 by the end of October
- $100,000 by the end of November
- $150,000 by December 25th

How Does Bless the Mess Differ from Other Church Funds?
It's important to understand that Bless the Mess is separate from our other building-related funds. While Bless the Mess handles unexpected construction costs, we also maintain our Faith Promise fund, which serves a different purpose. Faith Promise is specifically designated for our future monthly mortgage and utility payments, estimated at $26,000 per month, with a monthly goal of $15,000.
Currently, we've set aside five months of mortgage payments through Faith Promise, and we're working toward the bank's requirement of six months in reserve. This is separate from your regular tithes and offerings, which support our ongoing ministry operations.

- Your regular tithes and offerings
- Your Faith Promise commitments
- Your prayers for our building project, specifically focusing on:
- Unity among our church family throughout this process
- Financial provision for the project
- Favor with city officials and contractors
